Poem Making Retreat with poet Prartho Sereno
🗓️Saturday, November 8
🕦 10:00 am
📍 Chapel - Get Directions
Writing poetry not only serves this urge but shares many similarities to traditional spiritual paths: focus on presence, deep listening, sincere truth-telling, and the surrender to something beyond ourselves. The theme for November 8th will be Journey through a Peopled World. We will explore the impressions & wisdom we've received from our own "kinfolk"-- These include - Grandparents, Lovers & Strangers, Mamas & Papas, Siblings & Friends, & Oneself.
Come if you have never tried writing poetry or you know you enjoy it. All experience-levels & styles welcome!
Register by emailing office@fpcsr.org.
Prartho Sereno, M.A., M.F.A, author of four prize-winning poetry collections, Poet Laureate Emerita of Marin County, and Poet in the Schools from 1999 to 2021. She currently teaches courses at the College of Marin and online. Her website is www.prarthosereno.com
